Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a senior citizen (typically 60 years or older).
- Preference may be given to those who are homeless, abandoned, or without financial support.
- The applicant must not have any severe communicable diseases unless a suitable medical facility is available.
- A medical fitness certificate may be required before admission.
Admission Process
- Admission is subject to availability.
- The applicant must provide valid identification and medical records.
- Relatives, if any, must sign an agreement stating that they will not interfere in the management of the resident.
Code of Conduct
- Residents must respect fellow residents, staff, and visitors.
- Any form of violence, abuse, or harassment will not be tolerated.
- Alcohol, smoking, and drug use are strictly prohibited within the premises.
- Residents must maintain cleanliness and follow hygiene protocols.
Visitors Policy
- Visiting hours will be specified by the management.
- Visitors must register before entering the premises.
- Any disturbances or conflicts caused by visitors may lead to visitation restrictions.
Medical and Emergency Policy
- The home will provide first aid and routine check-ups.
- In case of a medical emergency, the resident will be taken to the nearest hospital.
- The old age home is not liable for any serious medical conditions beyond its capacity or advanced medical emergencies.
Departure & Termination Policy
- Residents can leave voluntarily after informing the management.
- The home reserves the right to discharge a resident if:
- They pose a threat to others.
- They repeatedly violate rules and regulations.
- They require specialized care beyond the home’s capacity.
Legal & Liability Disclaimer
- The home is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings. Residents should take care of their valuables.
- The home is not responsible for personal injury, illness, or death due to natural causes or pre-existing medical conditions.
- Visitors and the resident’s family members have no right to claim property or funds from the home.
- No one can forcibly remove a resident without prior discussion with the management.
- The management of Samir Malati Foundation reserves the right to introduce, modify, or implement new rules, policies, and regulations as required by applicable government laws, directives, or guidelines. All residents, staff, and associated individuals must comply with any such changes.
- The organization shall not be held liable for any inconvenience caused due to amendments made to ensure legal compliance and the well-being of the residents.
